Quincy Public Schools (QPS) is a dynamic and diverse school district serving the city of Quincy, Massachusetts. With a rich history of educational leadership and a commitment to academic excellence, innovative curriculum, and equity, QPS serves approximately 9,700 youth in 19 schools across the city. QPS provides students with a rigorous and engaging education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life.

Public education is strongly supported in Quincy for its all-important role in both the development of individuals as citizens and as productive members of the local and regional economy. Strong support from the City of Quincy enables the district to maintain small classroom sizes and provide personalized attention to each student. Dedicated educators, coupled with robust academic programs and a strong focus on social-emotional well-being, equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed. QPS’ talented staff, supportive families, and strong community partnerships contribute to the district’s ongoing success.

Quincy Public Schools is comprised of 11 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 2 high schools, and an early childhood center. Students attend schools based on their geographic neighborhoods with some movement between schools based on Open Enrollment granted to students on a space-available basis.
