Advanced Placement Programs for Grades 5-8

Quincy Public Schools offers a variety of educational experiences appropriate to the needs of all students, including those who show signs of higher than expected academic talent and cognitive reasoning. Our Elementary Advanced Placement Program gives identified Grade 5 students an advanced program designed to broaden and deepen their academic experience. The program is held at the Point Webster Middle School and students are transported from their elementary schools to Point Webster one day each week.  For the 2020-2021 school year, the program has been conducted remotely.

For current Grade 4 students, an information letter was emailed to all families on April 7, 2021.  Please click here to see the letter.

Grade 5 students currently enrolled in the Elementary APC program were sent a letter inviting them to be screened for the Grades 6-8 Advanced Program.  (Click here to view the parent letter.) Screening assessments will be administered in April and May and screening result letters will be mailed out by the end of May 2021.  (Click here to view parent/guardian presentation.)
