Three Sterling Middle School students will compete in the Massachusetts School Library Association’s Annual Bookmark Contest on March 9th. Mrs. Grabke and Mrs. McDonough worked on creating bookmarks with the 5th and 6th grade students in Library and Art class. Sterling staff members chose the three bookmarks that best represented the theme of this year’s contest, “School Libraries: Something for Everyone.”
All of the students did an awesome job and were very creative and reflective. The bookmarks chosen to represent our school were created by Siddharth Gosh Roy, Maggie Martin and Emily Vu. Students from across the state will compete in the contest to be judged by authors and librarians at MSLA’s annual conference, and the winners will be invited to an awards ceremony at the State House. Thanks to all the students and staff for participating.
