The Quincy School Committee

The Quincy School Committee consists of six members elected by the citizens of Quincy,  the Mayor, who serves as the Chair of the School Committee, and the Superintendent of Schools, who serves as the Secretary of the School Committee.  The purpose of the School Committee is to establish policies and make decisions on the basis of educational philosophy and goals, the most crucial of these being facilitating the optimal learning experience of the children enrolled in the Quincy Public Schools.  Click on the links to the left to learn more about the members of the School Committee, the policies of the Quincy Public Schools, the calendar of regular School Committee and subcommittee meetings, and meeeting topics and decisions contained in the Meeting Agendas and Minutes section.
