2018 Fall Sports Tryout Information

All students interested in playing a Fall sport must have the following checklist completed prior to the first start date of their respective sport. The first date for Football is August 17th, and the first date for all other Fall sports is August 23rd.

 

 

Checklist

  • Register online at FamilyID
  • Physical on file with nurse (good for 13 months)
  • Academically eligible
  • Must have taken ImPACT test

Below you will find the information/details for the first day of tryouts/practice:

Football

Equipment Handout – August 9th & 10th, 10:00am

First Practice – August 17th, 8:00am, arrive @ QHS gym


Boys Soccer

August 23rd

The Quincy High School athletic department will be hosting a “Fall Sports Eligibility Clearance Day” on Wednesday, August 8th. This is for all prospective Fall student-athletes to get everything squared away before practice/tryouts begin for Football on August 17th and all other Fall sports on August 23rd.

  • 9:00AM – 12:00PM
  • Quincy High School

Athletes will be able to:

  • Check/Fill out online registration on FamilyID
  • Pass in their physical (good for 13 months)
  • Take ImPACT Test (if necessary)
  • Check academic eligibility
  • Pay user fee

Registration for 2018 Fall sports is open and you can register online at FamilyID. Any student-athlete that wishes to tryout/play a Fall sport must be registered on FamilyID. First day of practice for Football is August 17th. The first day of practice/tryouts for all other Fall sports is August 23rd.

-Update necessary information, click Save and Continue, then click Submit.

*New to FamilyID*

-Click Create Account.

-Fill in the sign up information, then you will receive an activation email.

-Activate the account from your personal email.

-Click on 2018 Fall Athletics Registration.

-Once you fill in all appropriate boxes, click Save and Continue. Then click on Submit.

*Have parent/guardian present when registering due to the agreement/consent forms*

The Quincy High School Athletic Department will be hosting a “Fall Sports Orientation Night” for all incoming freshmen & returning Fall athletes, along with a parent/guardian, on Tuesday, June 19th. The meeting will start at 6:00pm in the Lloyd Hill Auditorium at QHS.

There will be a brief assembly in which the Athletic Director, Mr. Kevin Mahoney, will address the athletes/parents about Athletic Department rules & regulations as well as registration information. Upon conclusion of that, the teams will break-up for individual team meetings. This is a great way for the student-athletes & parents to meet the coaching staff, learn about the team’s policies and procedures, and talk with the team’s Booster Club.

Cassandra Davis, a QHS junior on the QNQ Girls Hockey team, was named a Boston Herald All-Scholastic for the 2017-18 winter season. Cassandra reached the 100th career point mark this season and is one of the all-time leading scorers in the QNQ program’s history. Congratulations Cassandra!
