South Cove Manor at Quincy Point, a rehabilitation and nursing center, has opened a beautiful new community at 288 Washington Street Quincy, within walking distance of QHS and a short bus ride from NQHS. South Cove offers community service and volunteer opportunities for students aged 13 – 18.

Volunteers enrich the lives of residents every day, and opportunities include: Assisting with recreational group activities, holiday events, Friday special events, and our new “Student Performing Arts Program,” where students share their talents in music, dance or other arts, with residents on a weekly, bi weekly or monthly schedule.

The North Quincy Senior Stay Out Committee is looking for help with an upcoming fundraiser!

Every year for the last ten years, Roche Brothers Supermarket has generously donated money to the NQ Senior Stay Out. For the donation, parent volunteers collect store receipts from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Roche Brothers donates 5% of the total sales in receipts that is collected. On Friday April 3rd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, parent volunteers will be at Roche Brothers Supermarket located at 100 Falls Boulevard collection receipts from shoppers, and would love to have student volunteers to help! Interested students should sign up in the Gym with Ms. Ginty at NQHS!

Montclair Holiday Shopping Expo

High School Volunteers are needed to help set up, work and break down the Montclair Holiday Shopping Expo happening the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 29th.  The Montclair Holiday Shopping Expo is being held at Quincy High School and is an annual fundraiser for the Montclair School. Interested students can sign up with Ms. Ginty at NQHS or Ms. McMillen at QHS.

Volunteer to help out the Bernazzani School PTO with their annual “Harvest Hop” on Friday October 17th! The Harvest Hop is the fall school “dance”.  There will be two dances in the Bernazzani Gymnasium.  The first is from 5:30 – 7 for the Kindergarten through second grade students and their families.  The second dance is from 7:30-9 for 3rd through 5th grade students and their families.

High School Volunteers are needed for one or both time slots!

On October 13th the NQHS and QHS cross country teams are participating in the Tufts 10K road race as water station volunteers. We are recruiting team members from both schools as well as ROTC students and those seeking community service. The hours are 8am to roughly 2pm. Bus transportation is provided for most although some may have to take the MBTA. To sign up please see Ms. Ginty at NQHS or Ms. McMillen at QHS. Wollaston School Harvest Fest
