|Thursday, April 30th 7:00-8:00 PM||Internet safety||CMS Auditorium||On April 30th Parents and Students are invited to an evening focused on responsible internet use and team building. There will be a presentation for Parents in the Auditorium by Boston vs. Bullies and students grades 5-8 will be in the gymnasium to learn about responsible online use and engage in team building activities with guidance staff and QPD DARE officers and school resource officers.|
|Saturday, May 2nd 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM||Cleaner Greener Quincy CMS Team||Central Middle School||The CMS Gardening Club is in full swing. Our plants are growing and so are our ideas! We will be leading any students and/or parents interested on a clean-up and beautification of our school grounds on May 2nd, for Cleaner Greener Quincy. Sign up with your Social Studies teacher if you and/or your family is interested by Tuesday, April 28th. Please see permission slip for more information.|
|Mondays starting May 4th 6 weeks after school 2:30-3:45 PM||Badminton Tournament||Gym||Badminton Tournament, each session will be limited to 24 players. We would meet Mondays starting May 4th, 2015. Students will choose their team of 6 players, they will play games to 25, rotating teams through. Each team should be able to play 3-4 games in the time slot. 10 minutes will be allowed for taking down nets and putting equipment away. The hours will be 2:30-4.|

|Family Running Club Event||CMS Running Club Route||Two afternoons- Mr. Cordero will be inviting parents, siblings, teachers to join him and the running club for their run. Please see permission slip for more details.|
|Wednesday & Thursday May 6th & 7th 5:00-8:00 PM||Self Defense for Women||CMS GYM||Quincy Police Self Defense Program: This free two night program will be offered on May 6 & 7 from 5:00- 8:00 PM. This program is open to Central Middle School female students, female staff and female family members that are middle school age and up. Please see permission slip for more details.|
