Merry Perry of Merry Perry Design taught a lesson to Ms. McGinnity’s Design & Visual Communication students yesterday. She explained to them her process of concept development. She walked them through the brainstorming process and then on to mood boards and how she made her final presentation to a client.

She completed two activities with the students. One was coming up with quick sketches that represented specific words. The second was a critique of different mood boards she created.

The students left with a better understanding of how concepts are created in real world industry. This will be very helpful to their development as designers in many fields.
