QHS Culinary Arts seniors along with Future Chef students from various Boston high schools learned about where some of their food comes from, by getting the chance to participate in this year’s Cranberry Harvest at Spring Rain Farm in E. Taunton. Students learned about the process and history as well as helping out in the bogs. Spring Rain Farm also raises free-range hogs that are available through their CSA program. Students were able to mingle among the pigs as Farmer William McCaffrey explained to the students the process of raising, pricing, and the slaughtering of the hogs.
