IMG_8578_1IMG_8558_1QHS Future Chefs students hosted their counterparts from Everett H.S., Somerville H.S., and students from Future Chefs Boston program, for Career Exploration Day. The students met professionals from the local culinary scene, and who also served as judges.
They included Joe Agpaoa; from Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Cathy Pedtke; from Lovin Spoonfuls, Falco Rodriquez; from the Smoke Shop, and Erin Hockey; QHS / Future Chefs Alum, from Kummerspeck.

IMG_8517_1This year’s theme was “cooking with no waste”. Each school competed against each other for the most inventive and least wasteful dish.

Quincy won an award for “Best original interpretation of a dish”, a take on a BLT.
