Quincy Public Schools, in collaboration with the City of Quincy Health Department (https://www.quincyma.gov/govt/depts/health/hdnews/eastern_equine_encephalitis_/eee_information.htm), is continuing to monitor the risk factors for the Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) Virus.  Per the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (http://www.mosquitoresults.com/), Quincy is considered low risk for the EEE Virus and this status will be monitored throughout the fall months.  All Quincy Public Schools activities will follow their established schedules and precautionary measures will include scheduling outdoors practices to end before 6:00 pm if possible, and if not, participants are advised to wear long sleeves and pants and use the insect repellent provided for all students and staff.

Updates to this advisory will be provided if the Department of Public Health risk assessment changes.
