All Quincy Public Schools school offices are open beginning Monday, August 29 between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.  For new student registrations, please call your school office to make an appointment to register for school.  If you are unsure of your school district, please see the link below.

Youth Employment Permits

Employment permits (“working papers”) for 14-to-17 year-old students are issued through the North Quincy and Quincy High School main offices for both Quincy Public Schools students and Quincy residents who attend private schools.   High School Principals Shaw and Taglieri have been designated by Superintendent DeCristofaro to issue these permits.

To begin the application process, click here to download the form.   Bring the completed form and a student id, recent report card, or birth certificate to either high school main office between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm for review and processing.   The high school offices are open Monday through Friday during July and August, with the exception of Monday, July 4.

Employment permits will be issued within 48 hours of receipt of completed form and required documentation.

2016-2017 High School Schedules Posted

2016-2017 class schedules are now posted for both North Quincy and Quincy High School Grades 9-12 students on Aspen.

Message from NQHS & QHS Guidance: 2016-2017 Schedule Change Requests

Both high schools will be accepting change requests through August 31 via EMAIL at nqhsschedulechanges@quincypublicschools.com or qhsschedulechanges@quincypublicschools.com. Your change request will be handled in the order that it is received and you will receive a reply to your email stating that the change is complete or not able to be completed.   A printed copy of your schedule will be in your homeroom on the first day of school.

 

 

 

QPS Marching Band Camp, August 29-September 1

MusicQuincy Public Schools High School Marching Band Camp will be held at Pageant Field from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, August 29 through Thursday, September 1.  Students should bring their instruments, hat, water bottle or jug, 3-ring binder with plastic sheets, a small notebook with a shoelace, and wear appropriate clothing for the warm summer days.

Make sure you eat breakfast before coming to camp and wear sneakers or your marching shoes!

This camp is a required event for participation in the high school band program, as we will learn all of the marching technique necessary to put on a halftime show.  Any questions or concerns may be emailed to qpsband@gmail.com

Learning Center at ECC

1Students were hard at work as they enjoyed all the Summer Learning Center had to offer. Approximately 80 students ranging from Pre-K to Grade 4 showed up with smiles and enthusiasm showing just how fun learning can be. A special thanks to all the teachers and paraprofessionals who worked so hard to offer such a fantastic program to our QPS students.

QPS Summer Hours/New Student Registration

All Quincy Public Schools elementary and middle school offices are closed and will re-open on Monday, August 29.  For new students, please call your elementary or middle school office to make an appointment to register for school after August 29.

North Quincy High School and Quincy High School are open for registration throughout July and August.  Office hours are 8:00 am to 2:30 p.m. daily.

Bridge to Reading

2-4At Parker Elementary, approximately 50 students developed and improved upon their reading skills as they took on the Great Books summer curriculum. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 4 worked diligently, 4 days per week, 3 hours per day and the improvement sure does show.
