At the March 18, 2014 Facilities & Security Subcommittee Meeting, Superintendent Richard DeCristofaro presented an analysis of current and past enrollment for the elementary, middle, and high school levels of the Quincy Public Schools. In preparation for the Enrollment Certification phase of the new Sterling Middle School project, the Massachusetts School Building Authority requires this analysis and Dr. DeCristofaro shared the work done to date with the School Committee. The analysis showed a growing elementary school population across the city and space concerns at six of eleven elementary school buildings. In future years, these larger enrollments will move up to the middle and high school levels, so further discussion will take place at Facilities & Security Subcommittee and full School Committee meetings.
The next meeting of the Facilities & Security Subcommittee will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at 5:00 pm in the 2nd floor conference room of the NAGE Building, 159 Burgin Parkway. An agenda will be posted by the end of the day on Monday, March 31.
