On Tuesday, December 3, the first in a series of Parent Academy presentations was held at the new Central Middle School. The focus of this presentation was the Reading/English Language Arts curriculum for Grades K-2, including the new Reading program Journeys, the online program-releated resources at Think Central, and the supplemental online program Reading Eggs. A collaboration of the Curriculum Office, the elementary school principals and staff, and the Information Technology department, the presentation began with an overview of the Reading/ELA curriculum and then moved to hands-on demonstrations of online options in the computer laboratories.
The presentation will be shown daily on Channel 22 at 9:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 7:00 pm through Wednesday, December 11.
