Aspen’s Student Portal provides teachers, parents, and students an arena to communicate openly. Families can use the Student Portal to view demographic data, academic progress, daily attendance records, schedules, assignments and grades for their Quincy Public Schools children. Aspen’s Student Portal is currently being piloted at Broad Meadows Middle School for approximately 325 students. During the week of November 11, we’ll continue the Student Portal implementation for Atlantic, Central, Point Webster and Sterling Middle Schools. North Quincy and Quincy High Schools will soon follow the week of November 18.
Within the Student Portal, students and parents will be able to view various features and tabs, including:
My Pages Tab: Student homework assignments, and timelines
My Info Tab: Student demographics, daily attendance, transcripts, assessments, and notifications
Academics Tab: Academic information for each class, including student attendance summary and grades; Assignments, including due dates and scores, and class period attendance
Calendar Tab: Students can create appointments and manage their class assignments
Student Locker: Students can upload and save files in the virtual locker. For example, from your home computer, you might upload an English essay, or a spreadsheet you created for Math class. Then, when you arrive at school, you can access your file from any computer. A list of files you uploaded appears.
In the weeks ahead, we’ll continue with the Aspen implementation and share additional communication of various other Aspen features/modules consisting of Teacher Pages, Curriculum and Learning, and Special Education.
