New Professional Staff Orientation

Forty-four new teachers and other professional staff participated in the Quincy Public Schools New Professional Staff Orientation Seminar held August 28-29 at Quincy High School.  This two-day event opened with welcoming messages from Mayor Thomas P. Koch, School Committee member David McCarthy, and Quincy Public Schools Superintendent Richard DeCristofaro.

Quincy School~Community Partnership members AXA Equitable Financial Services, MetLife Financial Services, Montilio’s Bakery, and the Quincy Education Association provided refreshments before and after seminars  on topics such as mentoring, expectations and responsibilities, along with opportunities to meet with members of the Superintendent’s Leadership Team.  Platinum Partner Quincy Credit Union also sponsored a trolley tour of Quincy’s historic sites for all of  the event’s participants.
