The Quincy School~Community Partnership is pleased to announce that Bluefin Robotics is continuing their 3-year partnership with the Quincy Public Schools by contributing $30,000 to our middle and high school students in supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) initiatives.   Bluefin Robotic follows multiple partnership pathways, with the main area of support being for the Quincy Public Schools Team HYPER (Helping Youth Pursue Engineering and Robotics) Robotics, which is made up of volunteers, teachers, parents, alumni, and students from both Quincy and North Quincy High School.  Bluefin’s contributions fund robot development including raw material, gears, chain, cylinders, control components, and vision cameras and support the costs incurred with shipping and team transportation to each regional competition.   Bluefin Robotics also sponsors the Lego League Tournament hosted by QPS Team HYPER and school facility upgrades including computer hardware, software, hand tools, and storage units.   Each fall, Team HYPER introduces an engineering project to help teach students the engineering method and how to use tools.  Bluefin Robotics supports this endeavor and year-round operations including funding for recruitment and annual safety training.  They also donate engineering support by sending two mechanical engineers to meetings throughout the year and judges for our Lego League competition.  The Quincy School~Community Partnership is pleased to have the valuable support of Bluefin Robotics!
